En Route to Solomon's Island

Day 1: Solomon's Island

Our first days destination was an anchorage at Solomon's Island. It was about a six hour voyage with little excitement...except the out of control (vessel not under command) Coast Guard boat that we met at the basin of Solomon's Island. We anchored in Mills River (muddy bottom at 10 feet). Out of 10 boats anchored, only two used anchor lights (and we were one).

Looking Aft: More motoring than sailing (didn't bode well for the whole voyage) but an adventure anyways.
