26 Feb 2003, Heading for the Exumas, 25 04.549 N/ 077 19.010 W

As promised, the weather had moderated and we were ready
to head for the Exumas. We wanted to make good time to catch up with Celena
and Legend, so we decided to head for Norman's Cay. We would try to catch
Allen's Cay (home of the iquanas) on the return trip. The waters between
Nassau and Norman's were mostly OK except for the Yellow Bank (area strewn
with coral heads). We decided to deviate a bit south from the rhumb line
so that we would miss the banks.

Weather was good but mostly in our face.
We did get to do
some motorsailing, but no true sailing yet. We arrived at Normans Cay at
1615 and decided to drop the hook near the western shore. Wind and waves
were not a problem. Peter from S/V The Office invited us over to watch
movies (Bandit with Bruce Willis) on his sail (apparently he projected it
onto his mizzen). We declined as we were tired and were leaving early the
next day.
