After 4 wonderful days in the Lubec area,
we headed for home via Cape Ann Campground between Gloucester and
Rockport MA. To be honest, the campground was the only disappointment
we had during the whole trip. The office was not friendly, the
campsites were muddy, there were little or no hiking trails and no way
on foot to get to any of the water around Gloucester or Rockport. It
was raining from the remnants of TS Fred when we arrived and Hurricane
Henri would punish this area a day after we were to leave. It will not
be on our list again.
Yesterday, we left for home. We used a truckers routing program to find
a safe pass through the NYC area and NJ. There are a lot of roads,
turnpikes, and parkways that are truck and RV restricted. We missed
most of them. Today we arrived at our younger son's home and tomorrow
we will arrive at RV Jule III's homeport. Great trip!
