Yesterday, we left Wrightsville Beach for Southport.
Yep, it was raining. Trip was relatively short but the
current in the Cape Fear River slowed us down a bit. We will be
sure to use it to our advantage when we go offshore. We stayed
at Southport Harbour Marina for re-fueling and re-provisioning.
We also had the opportunity to meet our friends (from Voyage
2000) on S/V Next Step. We had dinner with them at Bogey's
on Oak Island.

We decided to stay here an extra day to catch
up on business prior to our first offshore of the season. Bob
spent most of the day (and night) on the computer providing
customer solutions to their Internet security issues. It is nice
to be able to take our work with us. Our customers are happy
and we get to refresh the cruising kitty. BTW, Happy Halloween.
Breaking News! We decided to stay one more day here at Southport.
We plan to get more work done and wait for the ideal offshore day
which should be Saturday/Sunday. I know, wimps!
