Mill Creek was as beautiful as always. But a cruiser was in our favorite place so we had to settle for an anchorage nearer the channel. The night was beautiful. Tomorrow, we head back to Shipwright, do some preliminary packing, and start winterizing. Before the first of November, we will have to remove the jib and store her as this is required before haulout.

But first we have to head back to ILM to get the Admiral ready for chemo
and radiation. They warn her that it will be an unpleasant journey. And
so it will be.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Our anchorage in Mill Creek was OK but we would rather be in our little cove. It wasn't more than an hour before that cruiser left our old anchorage. We were comfortable so we stayed put. We left before 0900 the next day and had a comfortable trip up the Bay to Herring Bay, into Rockhold Creek, towards our slip. As we approached, a paddler on a board got in our way as we made the turn, distracted Bob, and his turn 'turned' bad. Ann saved the day and the paddler went on her way. Bob's skills are getting stale. More time on the water may help.
