Earlier in the month, we tried to go out on a sail around Baltimore Harbor. However, the local barnacles had other ideas. A couple thousand camped on our prop. Amazing how a boat will not move at all because of these critters. We called the local divers to scrub the boat earlier this week and everything seemed OK. Life is good (or so we thought)

When we arrived at our slip at Anchorage Marina (Baltimore), we noticed a cruising boat tied up near us. Bob walked to the next dock to read her homeport ... Kiel, Germany. A couple of days later, we met Wolfgang and Denise of SY Moony, working on their second circumnavigation. They are a delightful couple with a great curiosity of Jule III.
They had been in Kiel and asked their KYC friends if they had heard of Jule III. Apparently, Jule III was quite famous in her day and several members remembered her. We talked to Wolfgang and Denise many times. They were kind enough to invite us onboard SV Moony for wine and snacks. They are headed for points South after the Annapolis Boat Show. The next day, Wolfgang helped us depart our slip. Nice people!
